This is our house!

We're so excited to be moving into our first house. Here are some details:
  • semi-detached tudor on a nice tree-lined street
  • 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, 2 half bathrooms
  • built in 1938 -- it has lots of charm and original details
  • hardwood floors throughout
  • it was owned by the previous family for over 50 years
  • located in the Brightwood neighborhood, about 3 miles north of our condo
  • it's just south (about 7 blocks) of Walter Reed Army Medical Center
  • there's a driveway (woo hoo!) and plenty of street parking, too
  • we have a guest room -- come visit us!

Main Floor

The living room has a fireplace and 2 doors that access the front porch.

The galley-style kitchen. At the end of the room there's a little mud room and a half-bath. The door leads to the back yard and driveway.

Our dining room. Both the living room and the dining room have these arched doorways.

Upstairs

The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms.

The master bedroom is in the front of the house.

The master bath -- love the black & white tile.

Jen's studio... will all my crafts fit in one room?

The bathroom off the hall has black countertops and a really funky black & white wallpaper.

The guest room.

The end of the hallway has some built-in shelves.

Downstairs

The finished basement is composed of 3 seperate rooms. Ricardo is claiming ownership over the entire area... I think that means he has to do all the laundry while he's down there.

The rec room, complete with built-in bar. Lucky for Ricardo it's already got an orange tile floor -- just add a splash of turquoise and we'll be ready for football season.

This room has a built-in pantry with a huge freezer.
