It was a chilly morning on Friday, and I had an important project that needed to be finished up and sent to the printer, but I took a few minutes to capture the sunrise on the inaugural preparations.

I thought this was kinda a cool shot, with the Washington Memorial seen through the trees. This is East Exec Ave, the little street that separates the East Wing from the Treasury. Before 9/11 it was open to pedestrians, and years ago it was open to cars. How things change.

A pile of risers that still need to be put together, with the White House behind them (you can barely make it out).

Sunrise over the White House construction zone.

Another pretty shot with the Washington Memorial.

Opposite the Blair House, lots of work still needs to be done.
