The grass farmer is at it again

Ricardo, aka "the grass farmer," has been talking about reseeding the backyard for awhile now, and this weekend he finally took action.

The old grass is awful - lots of crabgrass, and a bumpy surface made it impossible not to have wobbly chairs and tables.

First we ripped up all the old grass (I was allowed to help), and then he raked it all out to be flat. (In the foreground is our giant jalepeno pepper plant which refuses to die.)

The next day after I installed the border (finally! keep your grass out of my garden!), he put down a top soil and seed. Can't wait to see the new grass start to sprout.
